This is our biggest update so far. Talking is faster than typing, so you can now tell Organizing what you need and the app handles the rest.
Voice dictation
Tap the microphone and speak naturally. The app figures out whether you mean an event, a note, an expense or a tracker, and saves it in the right place.
- "Dentist on Thursday at four in the afternoon" creates an event in your planner.
- "Spent 40 at the grocery store" logs an expense in Finances.
- "I drank two glasses of water" adds to your water tracker.
- "Note: ideas for mom's birthday" saves a new note.
If the app understood something else, tap the right type at the top (event, note, expense or tracker) and your dictation moves over without you having to say it again.
Savings with a plan
In Finances → Savings you can create savings goals, like a trip or a rainy-day fund. Set how much you want to save and by when, and the app suggests how much to set aside each month. Every time you add money, you see your goal move forward.
My cycle, only if you want it
My cycle is an optional tracker for logging your period and how you feel. It is off by default and you turn it on only if it helps you. It is a personal log, not medical advice.
And a few more things
- Sleep from Apple Health: your hours of sleep show up on their own in Trackers.
- Built-in help assistant: ask how to do something without leaving the app.
- Trash with retention: in Profile → Trash you can recover what you deleted by mistake.
- Google and Apple calendars: connect them in Profile → Calendars.
- Organizing is now on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
As always, the app is free. Try dictating one of today's tasks, and tell us how it goes.
