Having debt is more common than it seems, and it does not mean you are doing something wrong. What helps is a clear, small plan you can stick to.
1. Make the full list
Seeing everything together can be scary, but it also brings calm, because you stop guessing. Write down each debt with its name, how much you owe, the minimum payment and the due date. You can do it in Finances → Debts.
2. Choose how you want to pay
There are two simple paths, and you can pick whichever suits you best:
- Monthly payment: decide how much you can pay each month and the app shows when you would finish.
- Target date: pick when you want to be free and the app calculates how much you need to pay per month.
Be realistic. A small payment you actually make is worth more than a huge one you drop after two months.
3. Follow your progress
Each time you pay, log it in Debts. You will see the balance go down and your end date get closer. If you add your monthly bills in Finances, you will not forget due dates either.
4. Avoid creating new debt
While you pay, it helps to set a budget for your everyday spending. Log your expenses and check where your money goes. If you need to, pause non-essential purchases for a while.
5. Celebrate every step
When you finish a debt, do something lovely and inexpensive: a walk, a new sticker for your planner, an afternoon with no to-dos. Recognizing your effort helps you keep going.
This is general guidance, not financial advice. If your situation is complicated, talk to a professional.
