For 30 days I wrote down how I felt, once a day, in under a minute. I did not expect much. Here is what I noticed.
It is easier than it sounds
In the mood tracker you pick a face and, if you like, the feelings that go with it: calm, tired, grateful, anxious. You do not have to write a whole journal. One tap is enough, and if one day you want to add a note, you can.
Patterns show up
After two weeks I started seeing things I used to miss. Mondays were heavier. Sleeping little showed. Going for a walk almost always came with a good day. These are personal observations, not diagnoses, but they help you know yourself better.
Naming it helps
Choosing a word for what you feel makes it seem a little less tangled. There are also no good or bad emotions. They are all information.
- Pick the same time every day, like before bed.
- Set a gentle alarm at first.
- Do not judge yourself if you forget a day, just continue with the next.
- Review your whole month at the end and look for what repeats.
How to start today
Open Trackers, go to Mood and log how you feel right now. That is all. Tomorrow you do it again.
If logging brings up very heavy thoughts for several days, talking to someone you trust or a professional can help. This app is a support, not a treatment.
My biggest lesson was simple: paying attention to myself every day made me feel more accompanied by myself. Try your own month and tell us what you discover.
