Twenty pages a day sounds like little, but over a year it adds up to more than seven thousand. That is a lot of books, and you get there without big effort.

Why a small goal works

A tiny goal is hard to skip. Twenty pages take around twenty to thirty minutes, about the length of a coffee or the time before bed. If one day you want to read more, great. If not, you already did it.

Set up your reading

Open Trackers → Reading and add the book you are reading. Set your daily goal, for example 20 pages, and start logging.

  • Use the timer when you sit down to read, and the app tracks your time.
  • Write down which page you reached when you finish.
  • When you finish a book, mark it as done and it moves to your bookshelf.

A bookshelf that fills up

Every book you finish is added to your bookshelf. Watching the colorful spines line up is a lovely way to see your progress. It is a small reward for each book.

Tricks to keep the habit

  • Leave your book somewhere visible, like your nightstand or your bag.
  • Read at the same time every day.
  • Alternate heavy books with lighter ones.
  • If you do not like a book, drop it. Reading is not a punishment.
Tip

On a bad day, read just one page. Keeping the habit alive matters more than the amount.

Start tonight: open Reading, set the timer and read your first twenty pages. Your bookshelf will thank you.
